BOE ranks first globally in five areas
BOE ranked first around the world in five areas in 2015—new patent applications, coverage rate of new products, market shares of intelligent phones and tablets, market share of big screen products, and gross profit rate.
BOE Technology Group has become a world-leading provider of semiconductor display technology services. Its main businesses include display components, intelligent systems and health services.
A decade ago, China was not able to produce TFT-LCD panels on its own and relied on imported components to produce them. But with the innovations of BOE, China now has its own TFT-LCD panels.
In 2015, the number of BOE’s patent applications was 6,156, ten times that of 2010, and 80 percent of them were innovation patents. The total number of applicable patents reached 40,000.
