It was a brilliant speech by President Xi which gave us a clear description of what the Belt and Road Initiative is.
He talked about how the Silk Road was developed and then what the initiative means now. More importantly, he talked about how we can make the mission a reality.
The Belt and Road forum is important in institutionalizing the Belt and Road Initiative. The most important takeaway for me is that it provides a new model of global win-win cooperation that everybody can benefit from. That is very useful. If we want to summarize the initiative in three words, I would say: corridors, culture and connectivity.
