Fuzhou Airlines (FU) has received the approval of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to open flights between Fuzhou and Shanghai. A grand ceremony will be held for its maiden flight on Oct 30.

According to Xie Jianming, vice president of Fuzhou Airlines, five new aircrafts will be put into operation by the end of 2015.

So far, the airline has won approval to operate eight flight routes from Fuzhou to Shanghai Pudong, Tianjin, Kunming, Haikou, Hefei, Taiyuan, Chongqing and Xi'an, with more destinations to be added to meet the travel demands of Fuzhou citizens.
