D4: Damxung-->Shigatse(Distance: 514km)
Depart from Danmxung, cross Yangbachen and take the west branch road to Gyantse. Enjoy the beautiful sight of the snow-capped mountains, Mt.Xoggo La (5454m above sea level) and Mt. East Gggola(5778m above sea level) on the way. After arriving at Shigatse, visit the Palkor monastery. Then continue to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. Stay overnight in Shigatse
D5: Shigatse-->Mt. Everest base camp(Distance: 380km)
Drive to the base camp of Mt. Everest and stay overnight near the Rongbu monastery.
D6: Mt. Everest-->Shigatse (Distance: 380km)
Take a tour through the Rongbo monastery(5000m above sea level). Then drive back to Shigatse. Stay overnight in Shigatse.
D7: Shigatse-->Lhasa (Distance:350km)
Visit the biggest Tibetan Buddhist monastery, Tashilhungpo. Afterwards go to Lhasa. Stay overnight in Lhasa.
D8: Leave Lhasa
Tips:
1) Because of the high altitudes, (most of the trip is over 5000 m above sea level) those with high blood pressure or respiratory or heart disease may not take this trip.
2) Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and lip balm to protect your skin, as the atmosphere is thinner, and the sun's light is stronger.
