Founded in 1983, the Chemcentral Group was the first agent on paper-making and paper-converting in China (to convert paper into other paper products).

From 1984 until now, the group has remained the largest supplier of clay coating, paper-making and paper-converting material. Chemcentral is now an international conglomerate mainly focusing on the Asian paper-making and paper-converting industries, with certain investments in leisure industry.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, Peter L. Young, the CEO and founder of the Chemcenral Group, spoke with China Daily on his company's growth in the past 15 years.
