Mottaki made the remarks at a press conference at UN Headquarters, held in coincidence with the Geneva talks between Iran and the six powers on its nuclear program.

The foreign minister said he had had talks with the foreign ministers of different countries, including those from most of the six powers.

He emphasized that "expectations shouldn't be very high on the October 1 meeting and talks must be realistic," he said.

The six countries also expressed support for "the continuation of such talks," he noted.

"We support such a will for continuation of dialogue," Mottaki said.
