David Allfrey, chief executive and producer of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, is looking forward to the China Culture Season. "I think we have so much to learn from each other."

The Tattoo first took place in 1950, and representatives from armed forces around the world parade on the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle, overlooking Scotland's capital.
