Meeting held to discuss new books on CPPCC's proposals
BEIJING -- A meeting to discuss two new books on the work of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on proposals was held Thursday.
Both books were made available to the public since March 27, and they focus on the CPPCC's work on proposals over the past 70 years and the CPPCC's new requirements, new thinking and new approaches for making proposals in the new era.
Zhang Qingli, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the meeting and asked political advisors, CPPCC organizations at all levels and organs for proposals to make the most of these books, deepen their understanding of the significance and functions of the CPPCC's proposals and enhance the quality of both their proposals and their handling of the proposals.
