Four central departments have published a guideline to encourage employers to enrich workers' cultural, sports, and entertainment activities. The move aims to unleash people's consumption power and establish a high-spirited and healthy staff culture by 2030.

The four departments are the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China Film Administration, and the General Administration of Sport of China.

Under the guideline, trade unions at all levels are encouraged to enrich activities for employees by organizing art shows, recitations, and sports events such as badminton and table tennis, as well as traditional activities like tai chi and trendy events like winter sports.

The guideline encourages employers to make full use of parks, industrial heritages, cinemas, and patriotic education bases to organize immersive or interactive activities for workers.

Additionally, the guideline encourages grassroots trade unions to organize up to four spring and autumn outings a year for workers and collaborate with bureaus of culture and tourism, film, and sport to offer employees discounted cultural and tourism products or services.
