The project is being developed against a backdrop of rapid growth in China's pet sector. According to the 2026 China Pet Industry White Paper released by pet industry data platform petdata.cn, the urban pet consumer market — covering cats and dogs — reached 312.6 billion yuan (roughly $46 billion) in 2025, up 4.1 percent from the prior year, and is projected to reach 405 billion yuan by 2028.
