Zhang Xiantu (right) and her husband Guo Meishuan. Zhang was only 15 when she was abducted by Japanese soldiers and forced to serve as a "comfort woman". Zhang was born in Yu county, Shanxi province, in 1925. "At the time, I had been married for just a month and my husband was still young. He squatted in a corner, terrified and trembling. He has not stopped trembling since then." |
